“Say without Words” exhibition

Our “Say without Words” exhibition at St Stephens church on the High street of Exeter was a resounding success. Our shared work of “Life Jacket” was central to our exhibition. It demonstrates how it feels to have aphasia and puts the hidden difficulties of this communication difficulty on show. The Life Jacket has already been to Cornwall with the Stroke Association conference and is planned to journey around Devon to help raise awareness of aphasia.Say without words
We also welcomed the Lord Mayor of Exeter to our exhibition of art that we created with Magic Carpet, the arts for wellbeing charity. It was great to be able to spread the word about aphasia!

Creative Art Exhibition

art fun aphasia

We are so excited about our first art exhibition at the Phoenix Centre Walkway Gallery.

Since starting our sessions people have produced amazing works and rediscovered their confidence in their creative skills.

A renowned local artist, Ray Balkwill, opened our exhibition on Thursday 14th March and it was wonderful to see all our achievements. Take a look at what went on at the exhibition opening. The gallery will be on show for a month from 12th March to the 14th April 2019.

We hope to inspire and encourage other people with aphasia. Come along to our next Creative Art sessions!
