Our “Say without Words” exhibition at St Stephens church on the High street of Exeter was a resounding success. Our shared work of “Life Jacket” was central to our exhibition. It demonstrates how it feels to have aphasia and puts the hidden difficulties of this communication difficulty on show. The Life Jacket has already been to Cornwall with the Stroke Association conference and is planned to journey around Devon to help raise awareness of aphasia.
We also welcomed the Lord Mayor of Exeter to our exhibition of art that we created with Magic Carpet, the arts for wellbeing charity. It was great to be able to spread the word about aphasia!
