Our launch party on the 6th June was a great success! Over 50 people came along to celebrate the beginning of our charity. It was great too see people who had helped us along the journey such as printers, website developers, and designers and to see our finished website and banners in situ.
Living with Aphasia welcomed lots of visitors from local stroke groups and it was lovely to have a space for Laura from The Stroke Association to meet and people too. People involved in research from the University of Exeter came along too plus other related professionals.
Overall lots of cake and tea was consumed and lots more connections and friendships formed. The charity will no doubt build on this success – with one of it’s aims being to continue to enjoy more conversation over cake!
